Preparation Guidelines

Fasting is not required for plain MRI.
If contrast is needed, fasting 4–6 hours is recommended.
Remove all metal objects (jewellery, watch, hairpins).
Wear comfortable clothing; a gown may be provided.
Inform staff if you have:

Pacemaker or cardiac implants
Metal or surgical implants
Claustrophobia
Pregnancy
Kidney problems (contrast caution)
